Special Train ‘Dakshin Darshan’ for South India Tourism


Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) is running a special train ‘Dakshin Darshan’ to south India on 7 August. It will help to train travel to attract more tourists.

According to IRCTC general manager Rahul Himalian train ‘Dakshin Darshan’ will run from Ahmedabad and it will also take passengers from Kalyan and Pune. The train journey will end on16 August. It will cover mostly famous south Indian tourist place like Madurai, Kanyakumari, Trivandrum and Kovalam, Goa, Tirupati, Rameshwaram Puram.

Train has two type categories; one is Standard and second is Comfort. Standard  is ordinary sleeper categories with 3 time food and  fare will be Rs.12649 and Comfort categories have 3tyre Ac with 3 time food and charges will be Rs.18499.

IRCTC run this type of train time to time. It will be 3rd time in this year IRCTC running a special train for improve train tourism. Last time first train run in January and carried 1000 passengers, 2nd in March and carried 700 passengers. This time they already booked 400 tickets and looking for more. It is look like a good and affordable offer to travel south.
